My son, who is a coach at Grand Island Central Catholic, was coaching the American squad which contained 3 former Hastings St. Cecilia standouts…one of whom was 2 sport All-Stater, Dalton Sealey. Coach Bob Ley....A Hero Is Gone.

Coach Bob LeyEvery morning I walk the exact same route and right at the center of that stroll is Central Catholic High School. Always a thrill to go through that property, walking right along the practice field, past the sloping walkway that leads to the locker room. Brings back sweet memories of a perfect time long ago, but today as I approached this daily haven of mine, the lump in my throat seemed impossible to swallow. Nebraska State Middle School Track Championship Results

 The first annual State Middle School Track Championships were contested last Saturday in Gothenburg and teams from all over the State, excepting the Omaha Metro area participated. The Omaha middle schools did express an interest in participating next year. This was the first meet of it’s kind I can ever remember and a showcase for Nebraska’s 7th and 8th grade Track athletes.Cozad, fueled by Jake Paulsen’s 3 golds, nabbed the Boys crown with 40 points, 30 of them by Paulsen. 7th grade…See More

2010 Nebraska (Middle School) Track Championships Qualifiers

This 1st of it's kind Track Championship for 7th and 8th Grade Boys and Girls, and it will take place in Gothenburg this Saturday, May 15th.
