Well, at the urging of a few key people, I have decided to undertake this huge project. When you do not have the luxury of ballot sheets from coaches state-wide, you just have to record every conversation you have had with hoops coaches, scribes and knowledgeable people around the state and mentally record all the fine players you have see throughout the season.....................oh, and one other prerequisite for this thing - THICK SKIN. Here are my Class by Class All-State Squads. Class C-1 absolutely deserved to have THREE teams....that talented, and I probably still left somebody deserving off.
CLASS A
1st Team
Jarrell Crayton - 6-6 Bellevue East
Dol Kutey-6-6 - Lincoln Northeast
Jake Marvin 6-7 Sr. - Lincoln Southwest
Taylor Stormburg 6-2 Sr. - Creighton Prep
Andrew Sankey 6-5 Sr. - Lincoln East
2nd Team

Peter Uhing 6-4 Sr. - Lincoln High
Ben Imeg 5-11 Jr. - Omaha Bryan
Steville Burns 5-11 Sr. - Omaha Benson
Tilt Kuek - 6-0 Sr. - Omaha Bryan
*A bit of a slack year in the Omaha Metro and Class A in general, but Lincoln has some nice players. Barry Lollman of Norfolk, Galen Gullie-Omaha Bryan and Adonis Hill of Burke deserve mentioning.
CLASS B
1st Team
Greg Smith 6-6 Sr. - Ralston
Trevor Menke 5-10 Jr. - Beatrice
Tyler Evans 6-2 Jr. - Waverly
Dwight Smith 6-4 Jr. - Ralston

Tommie Bardsley 6-2 Jr. - Beatrice
Trey Wilberger 6-3 Sr. - Scottsbluff
Evan Kucera 6-6 Sr. - Waverly
Rich Estrada - 5-9 Sr. - Sidney
*Had to think long and hard about whether to put SSC Freshman Mike Gessell on the 2nd Team or not. He's a star of the future, no doubt about it. Trent Miller of Gretna could have been placed on the 2nd team for just being a superior defender. Zach Hunt of Adams Central and Jordan Paben-Columbus Lakeview are also nice players. Conner Larson of McCook is scary for just a Sophomore.
