The Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association provides a much-needed service of rating wrestlers and teams throughout the season and the coaches who volunteer their time to compile those ratings certainly deserve everyone’s thanks for tackling such a difficult task.
That said, here’s hoping Class C rater Kenny Loosvelt of Madison will take another look at Wood River in the team ratings. Currently, the Eagles are rated No. 3 as a dual team, but only No. 10 overall.
That would seem like an oversight as Wood River repeated as Lou-Platte Conference champions last Saturday, rolling to nearly a 50-point victory against a field that included Class B No. 3-rated Adams Central and Class C No. 6-rated St. Paul and No. 7-rated Kearney Catholic.
